The intake process navigates through five key steps as outlined below:
Step 1: Referral from Community Organisations:
The recruitment of participants is conducted through referrals from community organisations that support women who have experienced DFV. Staff members from these organisations can identify past or current clients who would benefit from our 10-week program. Upon receipt of referrals, Raven Collective will engage in a discussion with the referring support worker to clarify the details of the client’s situation. If the client meets the criteria, they will be invited to submit the application form.
Step 2: Collate and Review Application Forms
Returned application forms are reviewed and organised into groups of potential participants and non-successful applicants. The approval decision is made at the discretion of the Raven Collective facilitator and the Program Manager.
Step 3: Intake Assessment Interviews
Applicants who meet the criteria will be invited to attend an informal interview conducted by the Raven Collective facilitator, Social Worker, and Program Coordinator. This interview ensures that the participant understands the program's expectations and has the necessary means to meet its requirements, such as agreeing to the required days and hours of work and training, along with the code of conduct, contract of employment, and position description.
